NCSU Libraries is happy to provide open accessibility to our Resource Description & Access (RDA) test materials. While our goal is to make as many materials as open as possible, visitors should note that they may find occasional pages restricted throughout this site (logins, staff information, etc.). Please also note that this is a living documentation site for NCSU catalogers and will change and grow as we proceed. All decisions apply only to the US RDA Test period. We have set nothing in stone and our RDA documentation is quite a moving target. NCSU Libraries will make implementation decisions based on testing results and in conjunction with the community nationally. We are happy for feedback on this site. NCSU Local RDA Test Participant Information
- RDA Test Common Set Workflow
- Find your NCSU Tester ID
- Find your NCSU Common Set Cataloging Record Assignment
- Find your assigned record on the chart: US RDA Test Common and Copy Set Surrogates
- Catalog your title in RDA or AACR2, as assigned
- Complete a US RDA Test Survey (either Common Original Set or Common Copy Set, as appropriate)
- Complete the NCSU RDA Test Form
- RDA Test Extra Set Workflow
- Find your NCSU Tester ID
- Catalog in RDA anything (and everything) you find in your normal day-to-day world needing original cataloging. You may also upgrade copy that meets our criteria for upgrade to RDA (see policies below)
- Complete a US RDA Test Survey (either Extra Original Set or Extra Copy Set, as appropriate)
